Offer to Schools

Farm Life offers half day sessions where learners have the opportunity to participate in a variety of farming activities.

Schools would book a block of half termly, half day sessions for a group of six students (transport and appropriate levels of staff supervision is the responsibility of schools / settings).

Activities are planned around the farming calendar and include:

-daily tasks involved in the care of sheep, horses and alpacas

-observing and assisting in health and maintenance activities involved in caring for sheep (lambing, shearing, footcare, weighing, condition scoring, administering medicine, daily health checks)

-bottle feeding orphan lambs

-exercising alpacas

-opportunities to work with and train sheepdogs

-assisting with dismantling and repairing fencing and other land management tasks

-horticulture and tree planting
